Monoglycerides

Monoglycerides

Monocaprin and Monolaurin are fully natural lipids, found in human breast milk as well as in products such as coconut oil. These lipids are the first antimicrobial compounds, an infant will be exposed to, through breast milk.  They have great activity against enveloped viruses, certain bacteria, and fungi. This agents differentiates from conventional antibiotics, antivirals and antifungals by being 100% natural compounds. In addition of being natural and safe compounds they have a low risk for resistance, which is a major problem in the world today and threatens the effective prevention and treatment of an ever increasing range of infections caused by bacteria, viruses and fungi.
